Day 1 Quick-Snap Grades for All 32 NFL Teams
Immediate Draft Grades Provide a Foundation for Future Evaluations
With the first two days of the 2024 NFL draft now behind us, it's time to hand out some quick-snap grades for all 32 teams. These grades are based on the players each team selected, as well as the overall value they received for their picks. It's important to note that these grades are just a starting point for future evaluations. The true impact of each team's draft class will not be known for several years.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are the leading contender to have a Texans-like turnaround after getting QB Caleb Williams with the first pick and wide receiver Rome Odunze at No. 15. Williams is a generational talent who has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Odunze is a big, physical receiver who will give Williams a great target to throw to. The Bears also added some depth to their defense with the additions of edge rusher Will Anderson and cornerback Devon Witherspoon.
Pratt's Performance
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Kyle Pratt was at his best throwing downfield this past season, earning an 88.5 PFF passing grade on throws 20-plus yards downfield. This is a significant improvement from his previous seasons, when he struggled to complete passes beyond 15 yards. Pratt's newfound ability to throw the deep ball will make the Bengals' offense much more dangerous in 2024.
King's Potential
Wide receiver Jayden King was once pegged as a potential first-round pick, but he fell to the second round after a disappointing season in 2023. However, King has all the tools to be a successful NFL receiver. He has great size, speed, and athleticism. The Rams are hoping that he can reach his full potential in Los Angeles.
